Allium Medusa Allium \'Medusa\' is well known and widely popular for its slender foliage and abundance of circular blooms. It has an unusual twist at the end of each leaf and the grey-green foliage is perfect for ground cover, when planted en masses. In the early summer months, purple globes of lollipop flower heads sit upon slender, upright stems. The blooms have a tendency to nod, with a viper-like appearance that straightens as they open.
