This course aims to introduce complete beginners to the violin, and impart rudimentary bowing and playing skills needed for pop violin playing. The main learning objective of this course is to quickly gain the skills required to create a simple cover song of their own on the violin. Some basic tips on how to read musical notes will be included, for those who are unfamiliar with music theory. Learners will also be taught how to familiarize themselves with the fingerboard and how to play faster passages through a tried-and-tested practice method. At the end of the course, learners will be able to practice effectively, and play any note, piece or pop song in the first position.
