The course is designed for complete beginners who are new to the language and who would like to develop confidence in the skills required to communicate at a basic level with native speakers. This beginner course covers 9 topics in total. It will enable students to conduct some basic simple conversations including greeting, self introduction, counting numbers, talking about colours, introducing family members, expressing likes and dislikes, describing someone\'s appearance, asking age, time, day and date, ordering food and drinks in restaurant setting etc. I hope this beginner course will actually help everyone to prepare for the scenario based learning in post beginner course and improver courses. Through this course, learners will be able to build up their vocabulary as well as their confidence in speaking. At the end of each topic, exercises are provided too to help learners to practice what they have learned in the topic. Grammar will also be introduced gradually. Chinese is a very different language, but it is not a difficult one. It does require learners to put in a lot of time in practicing. The harder you study, the better you will become.
