Dorothy Lamour stars in a suspenseful and hilarious musical pitting lovers against each other On the run from the cops, the beautiful Angel O\'Reilly (Dorothy Lamour) finds herself penniless and lost in Mexico, reluctantly joined by the dodgy Boris Cassall (George Riguad). She lands a job at a local nightclub as a singer, after conning the owner into believing her to be a Spanish countess. On one night, honest banker Tom Grant (Patric Knowles) stumbles in on the temptress show with his estranged wife Helen (Ann Dvorak) with Manolo, a Mexican Bullfighter, on her arm. Tom still loves Helen. Helen loves Manolo. Manolo loves Angel, and so does Boris! But Angel is finding herself increasingly attracted to Tom. The farcical situation leads to a comedy of errors, as the whole cast tries to win the other\'s affections, without having much luck.
