Coming-of-age drama directed by John Mills and starring his daughter, Hayley Mills. After witnessing the death of her childhood friend, who was accidentally killed whilst playing with his father\'s shotgun, the traumatised Brydie (Mills) retreats from her teenaged peer group and finds companionship among a group of younger children with whom she pursues a new pastime: solemnly burying deceased animals in a quiet corner of the churchyard.
