Oscar-winning idol Joan Fontaine stars an an actress with three ex-lovers that each have a different story to tell Susan Darrell (Joan Fontaine) is a gorgeous actress from New York who is about to be wed. She only met her husband-to-be Richard (Walter Abel) a few weeks ago, but the lovebirds are set on tying the knot.  While at their engagement party, mingling amongst the guests, Richard stumbles across three former lovers of Susan\'s, and starts to probe them on how they met.
