Crisp Series 2 continues the dramatic story of the Hammond family and their lucrative family business Hammond Transport Services, following the departure of patriarch Robert Hammond, who died while secretly having an affair with his secretary. Tensions run high when shares in the family business are split not just between the three brothers, but also, shockingly, with Robert\'s secretary Jennifer (Jennifer Wilson Z Cars). Each shareholder has a different idea on how the business should be run. In this series, after being away on holiday recovering from her heart attack, Mary abruptly returns on Barbara\'s 18th birthday.
