His stubborn decision to carry on with his work regardless and hide his condition from his colleagues leads him into a downwards spiral. Feisty DS Rebecca Bennett (Orla Brady - Wuthering Heights) has to fight distractions from her work as both DC Warren Allen (Darrell D\'Silva) and PC Alex Holder (Stephen Billington - Braveheart) vie for her affections. And DC Marty Brazil (Neil Dudgeon - Son of Ranbow) offers some light comic relief to the bleak environment as the joker of the group.
