Two-part US drama miniseries that charts the life of superstar actress and model Marilyn Monroe (Kelli Garner). After being taken away from her unstable mother Gladys (Susan Sarandon), Marilyn enters into an ill-advised marriage with Jimmy Dougherty (Giacomo Gianniotti) at the tender age of 16. Years later, the young star gains notoriety as a model before embarking on an acting career after meeting agent Johnny Hyde (Tony Nardi). However, with success comes added pressures, and after her relationship with baseball player Joe DiMaggio (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) comes to an acrimonious end, Marilyn soon finds herself battling to stop her life from spiralling out of control.
