A train tragedy is communicated as four brief stories to give character studies of the individuals involved, how it will affect them and how they deal with it. Starring Jack Warner, Gladys Henson, Susan Shaw. From the train driver, who is only driving because his daughter\'s boyfriend did not turn up for work, and the composer caught up in a problematic love triangle, through to the young woman who is trying to escape from her German P.O.W. boyfriend and the killer who is making the journey to get rid of a body, the crash brings about a pivotal change in the lives of all those involved. The film is separated into four distinct stories, each showing a changed lookout on events, and all joining in the momentous rail disaster.
