Sheila Hancock stars as Edie in this heartwarming drama about a woman who finds adventure and freedom late in life. Edie has spent 40 years trapped in a colourless marriage, tending to her controlling husband after his stroke. After he dies, and her daughter tries to send her to a retirement home, the bereaved wife and mother packs an old camping bag, leaves her life behind and embarks on an adventure like no other.
