Quintet group Simsa Fünf was founded be Sebastian Simsa in 2017.  They specialise in improvised and jazz music with influences coming from classical chamber and film music as well as folk music. What’s so special about this group is the ability for each member to give their own unique sounds and energy which creates a highly thrilling orchestration whilst Simsa demonstrates a compelling style of composition. The idea behind the album “The Time We Need†is creating songs which tell stories of which Simsa has personally experienced over the past few years. A story about Berlin Brandenburg Gate covered in snow during the cold war, a bridge in rural Finland, a small Catalan village called La Bisbal, an evening of drinking in Vienna or a “traditional folk song†where the inspiration came from a dream.
