The Father Ted and Death in Paradise star Ardal OHanlon takes us on a journey across the splendour of Ireland.    Best known as Father Dougal from the sitcom favourite Father Ted, actor and comedian Ardal OHanlon explores the Emerald Isle and takes an alternate look at Irish life, heading off the usually trodden path to find out what makes its residents Irish, and learn about their proud culture and traditions.  Ardal takes us on a journey around small towns and some more unusual attractions that Ireland has to offer, as he travels around his beloved homeland. Aiding his voyage, Ardal refers to a very popular set of Victorian guidebooks written by Mr and Mrs S.C.Hall, written to tempt the English to visit Ireland in the 19th Century. As he guides us on his journey, examining issues surrounding Irish stereotypes, faith and belief, and looking at how the Irish came to be seen as natural storytellers, fascinated by myths and legends.
