All eight episodes of Series Two of the anthology crime drama created by Nic Pizzolatto. Now set in California, Detective Ray Velcoro, Detective Sergeant Ani Bezzerides and Highway Patrol Officer Paul Woodrugh investigate the murder of bent city manager Ben Caspere. Career criminal and the dead man\'s business partner Frank Semyon discovers that over $5 million he gave to Caspere has been embezzled, money with which he was planning to invest in a rail deal in order to set him and his wife Jordan on the straight and narrow. Hoping to get his money back, Frank begins his own investigation into the murder. Each of the characters also has to deal with problems in their personal lives.
