James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal star in the 1970s-set drama about the porn industry. Beginning in the 1970s, the drama chronicles the legalisation and rise of the porn industry in New York City. Owing money to the Mob, Frankie and his twin brother Vincent decide to enter the newly-legal pornography industry in the hopes of making their fortune. Meanwhile, prostitute Candy also sees the potential for the future of the business and decides to enter the industry herself. This series, set in the beginning in 1977, sees Vincent running a successful disco club in Times Square, while Candy becomes a rising adult filmmaker and star.
