During the Nazi\'s early occupation of Holland, they seize the country\'s largest shipyard hoping to turn it into a production line for their U-boats. The shipyard\'s owner, Jaap Van Leyden (Ralph Richardson), is ordered by German enforcer Von Schiffer (Esmond Knight) to collaborate and help with U-boat production. But unbeknown to the Gestapo, Van Leyden is in fact a hero of the local resistance, and sets in motion a covert plan to strike back against the Nazi\'s production line.
