Animation based on the comic book series by René Goscinny. Asterix and Obelix are two feisty Gauls living in rural Brittany free from Roman rule. When the elderly Panoramix breaks his leg Asterix and Obelix seek a young druid capable and worthy of learning the secret magic potion that enables the villagers to live without interference from the Roman army. However, as they set off Asterix and Obelix are met by the invading Romans and they must do all they can to find a young druid before it is too late.
