An alien species tries to integrate with humans. James Caan, Terence Stamp and Mandy Patinkin star.   When an alien species arrived on Earth, they were predictably met with animosity and quarantined. But now they have begun to slowly integrate into human society and one of these Newcomers even becomes a police officer. Sam Francisco is unfortunate enough to be assigned a partner who harbours a deep mistrust and low tolerance of Newcomers, Matthew Sykes. But the tension between them must be set aside as they investigate the Newcomer underworld and their leader William Harcourt.
