Dawn French and Mark Heap lead the cast in ITV\'s black drama, with lashings of humour, set within a tightly-knit community in the small picturesque coastal village of Thurlbury.   The drama follows the life and pitfalls of Maggie Cole who doesn’t pay attention to the cautionary adage that people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. Maggie is the town’s ‘local historian’. She works in the local gift shop and makes it her business to know a bit about everyone’s lives. When a radio journalist interviews – and plies her with G&Ts – her for a feature on village life she inadvertently delves into her best friend’s and neighbours private lives… on air! Maggie has been happily married to headmaster Peter for nearly 40 years and their son and daughter-in-law live locally. Aggie sees the butterfly effect of how her very public gossip-fest affects everyone around her and disrupts their lives.
