Ben Affleck stars in this poignant sports drama about a depressed basketball coach with a drink problem seeking redemption. Jack\'s marriage has failed following a family tragedy. He now lives a lonely solitary life, his only comfort to be found in a bottle. He finds work on a building site and drinks himself into a stupor daily. Out of the blue he gets a call from Father Edward Devine, the shrewd, kindly headmaster of the Catholic school where Jack was once a basketball star. He tries to persuade Jack to return and coach his former school’s floundering and ill-disciplined team.
