Alan Bates, Julie Christie, Glenda Jackson and Ann-Margret star in this stylish adaptation of the classic Rebecca West novel. The story revolves around a Chris Baldry, a soldier who has returned from the front during WWI physically intact but shell-shocked. He has forgotten the past 15 years of his life and can’t remember anything past the age of 21, when he was deeply in love with a significantly less wealthy woman called Margaret. He has forgotten that he and Margaret fell out of contact, and that he married another woman called Kitty, his current wife, and has no recollection of their years together.   Release Date  13th July 2020
