Richard Attenborough\'s political drama inspired by the friendship between white newspaper editor Donald Woods and charismatic black activist Steve Biko, who was murdered by the South African police in 1977. Starring Kevin Kline and Denzel Washington. The story of Steven Biko, a South African black activist, and his friendship with white journalist Donald Woods. When Biko is killed, Woods mounts an investigation into his death. Harassed by the South African government as a result, Woods is placed under house arrest.
