Margot Robbie stars in this American thriller set during the Great Depression. Living with his family in rural Texas teenager Eugene Evans wishes to be able to provide for their basic needs. When he discovers wanted bank robber Allison Wells in one of their outhouses with a lodged bullet in her leg it seems like the type of situation he is used to reading about in the pulp novels he consumes. Despite being aware of the bounty on her head and the fortune he could earn by turning her in Eugene is infatuated by her and does all he can to help her evade capture by the authorities.
