Steve Coogan resurrects the cringeworthy broadcaster Alan Partridge for this hilarious and uncomfortble BBC comedy. In the first series, Alan is rescued from the career wilderness and asked to temporarily co-present the BBC One variety show This Time after one of the regular hosts falls ill. With co-host Jennie (Susannah Fielding) at his side, Alan does his best to seize the opportunity and reclaim the spotlight but, as he navigates the pitfalls of live TV and the show\'s various light-hearted news items and current affairs segments, his attempts often steer him down a calamitous path.
