Classic 1950s British drama directed by Ronald Neame and starring Peter Finch and Mary Ure. British surgeon Alec Windom is based in Burma and when civil conflict arises he finds himself protecting the interests of local rubber plantation workers. Meanwhile, his estranged wife Lee travels to the remote village where he resides to try and save their marriage.
