Louisiana congressman Colin Pryce, representing New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, finds himself in the spotlight when a British Petroleum oil rig explodes in his territory. As the little-known politican goes on national television to beg for aid to help those affected by the spill, he unwittingly becomes an overnight celebrity, much to the delight of his fame-hungry wife Deborah. As Pryce\'s power and status grows, he finds himself once again making the headlines but this time for being caught having an affair with a married woman. Can Pryce fight off the unwanted media attention to achieve his goal of running for senate?
