Daisy Haggard’s ingenious comedy-drama about ex-convict Miri Matteson’s return to her small-town home after an 18-year sentence. Meera Syal and Adrian Edmondson join the cast. This series picks up six weeks on from Miri’s release as she tries to fend for herself, although she is still avoiding her mum and best friend Mandy. Returning cast includes Adeel Akhtar as Billy, Geraldine James as Miri’s mum Caroline, Christine Bottomley as Mandy, Jo Martin as Miri’s parole officer Janice, Richard Durden as Miri’s dad Oscar, Jamie Michie as Dom and Juliet Cowan as Tina.
