Luc Besson writes and directs this French action sci-fi based on Pierre Christin\'s sci-fi comic series \'Valerian and Laureline\'. Tasked with maintaining peace throughout the universe, special government operatives Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are sent by their commander Arun Filitt (Clive Owen) to the spectacular city of Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis home to millions of inhabitants from all over the galaxy. With an unseen villainous force causing an uprising which could put the future of the city in danger, Valerian and Laureline must put their personal issues to one side and work together to put a stop to the trouble before it\'s too late. The cast also includes Ethan Hawke, Rutger Hauer and Rihanna.
