Overall in very good condition, this rare publication, no date printed but thought to be from 1905 1st Edition. Brown clothed board cover with black lettering to the front and spine. There is bumping to the corners and spine. Also rubbing along the edges and cover. There is discoloration to the cover both front and back, and spine shows fraying from repeated use. There is foxing to the front paste down and ffep, otherwise the pages are clean. The binding overall is in good condition but the glue has given way a little in a couple of places (see photos). There is a pencilled inscription on the ffep. In the final chapter, the book is credited by the author as being written at Craiglockhart Hospital, Edinburgh City Poorhouse in 1901. An extremely scarce copy in very good condition.
