Moss Bros & Co started creating military uniforms for the army in the decade following 1914. This is a Royal Engineers uniform, and the label suggests and buttons with the Queens crown embossed suggest that this piece is post WW2. It has been kept in remarkably good condition, and still has all of the original buttons!  Condition is good vintage, epaulettes have some holes and are loose, probably due to decorative elements being taken on and off. Small mark on red stripe of trousers and the belt is missing. Jacket Features: - Standing stiff collar with hook fastening and Ubique badges - Epaulettes - Single breasted - Five buttons down front - Two chest pockets with scalloped flap and button fastening - Metal hooks at waist for belt - Two waist pockets with scalloped flap - Double back vents - Pointed cuff detail with two buttons - Inside pocket - Moss Bros label, with names of past owners - All buttons are original, metal & embossed Trouser Features: - Button fastening - Button fly - Brace buttons - V at back on waist - Trouser pleats - Red lampasses stripes down both side seams (2\" wide)- Two pockets - Hems have been taken up and hand finished, probably by second owner
