Published  in 1954 this book is in good condition. Inside the front cover is a price and the previous owner\'s name.  Inside the back cover is a handwritten verse.  The cover is of blue cloth with gilt title on the spine; there is a little fading of colour around the edges, other than that it is intact.  The jacket is in poor condition: it is a little dirty and there is a little wear and tear to the top and bottom edges. The increasing popularity of Ogden Nash in this country and the realization, with the passage of time, that here is a poet who has \"come to stay\" in the treasure house of English literature has led to a demand for all his works on this side of the Atlantic. This volume, Many Long Years Ago, has been compiled from Ogden Nash\'s earlier works, which were published in America but not in this country.  The poems, which will be new to English readers, have been arranged afresh and revised by the author for the British edition.
