Accademia Gallery - Guided Tour The Accademia Gallery in Florence is the home of Michelangeloandrsquo;s David, one of the most famous sculptures in the world. But thatandrsquo;s not all the work youandrsquo;ll find from this famously grumpy Renaissance man! His unfinished work for Pope Juliusandrsquo; tomb, the Prisoners or I Prigioni, are also housed here. San Matteo, or Saint Matthew, is also housed here. Since Michelangeloandrsquo;s work was in such high demand when he was alive, a lot of his work in the museum is half-finished! Youandrsquo;ll also see great works by Renaissance artists such as Botticelli and Bellini, and learn about the patronage of the Medici family that made all these works possible. You\'ll skip the line with your guide before making your way into the museum, seeing some of the greatest masterpieces that call the Accademia home. Donandrsquo;t worry about missing out some of the less famous pieces, though -- after the guided tour you can stay in the museum as long as you like.
