The Schmincke Hilfsmittel Pastel Primer can be used to prepare a wide range of surfaces ready to use with pastels. It can be used on greaseless surfaces such as wood, metal, linen and canvas. Once dry it forms a cream white, matt, slightly rough elastic film. It is light resistant and non-ageing. Not only can this be used for pastels but for watercolours, acrylic and gouache.
