The Sennelier Artists' Quality Oil Pastels Test Pack is an ideal set for those wanting to experiment with a new medium. Contains 6 oil pastels in 6 popular colours: 001 White, 074 Yellow Lacquer, 220 Permanent Intense Red, 005 Ultramarine Blue, 045 Green Medium and 023 Black. The pastels are beautifully presented in a silver coloured tin with foam cushioning around them. Each pastel is approximately 6.5cm long and 1cm in diameter. Approximate measurements of the tin are: 12cm x 14cm x 3.8cm.  Sennelier Oil Pastels began to be developed in 1949 by Sennelier for Pablo Picasso who was looking for an oil pastel that had intense colour and could be applied to a wide variety of surfaces. The resulting Pastel has intensity and vibrancy of colour, is 100% lightfast and, due to the combination of non-aggressive oils and waxes, can be used on almost any surface, including paper, without cracking or effecting the substrate.
