Splendor is a 5-minute explanation and a half-hour performance. You manage a merchant guild in Splendor. You will acquire developments that produce additional gems with tokens symbolising gemstones (bonuses). These benefits lower your buying costs while also attracting aristocratic patrons. Each turn is brief: only one action is necessary. The game is over when the first player has accumulated 15 prestige points through nobility and progress. Works just as effectively with two players as three or four.
