Vanilla Sponge Cake Mix - 3kg Easy to use cake mix - just add eggs, oil and water. Takes all the hard work out of baking. Gives excellent results with an easy to handle cake base when baked. Shelf life after baking is 1 week,One 3kg pack will make 3x 10\" square cakes or 6x 8\" rounds, or approx 130-200 cupcakes (depending on cupcake size). Add dried fruit to our vanilla sponge mix for a delicious lightly fruited cake, or indulgent chocolate chips to the chocolate sponge mix for a real chocoholics dream. The table below gives the weight of Vanilla Cake Mix and other ingredients needed for different sizes of cake.  Any extras (nuts etc) can be blended in at the end without altering the quantity of other ingredients. Measuring liquids in grams – simply place a jug on the scales , tare (zero) the scales and then pour your liquid ingredient into the jug until the correct weight in grams is displayed.  Crack eggs into a jug on your scales to get an accurate weight.Cupcakes – usually take around 30 grams of batter each, or more for larger muffin sized cakes.
