The pastel shades that Rachel has used for Kismet fit well with her passion for the Florianware era at Moorcroft c. 1900, as does the perennially popular 80/9 shape used on this occasion. Rachel would be the first to admit that her choice of colour was intended to reflect Moorcroft’s vintage heritage. She is there to tell us that Moorcroft’s survival has come about because of the strong design foundations first built into the art pottery’s work by its founding father, William Moorcroft and how out of the past comes the future.
