This state of the art profiled wood core uses stronger and lighter woods targeted to specific areas of the core, providing pop, strength, and reduced weight. Now to fine-tune the core even further, the wood grain along the toe and heel edges runs perpendicular to the rest of the wood core. This gives consistent edge-hold and added strength.
