The California Poppy Ivory Castle from Johnsons is an easy to grow, enchanting creamy white flowering plant. Lovely in annual or mixed borders and in patio containers. Outdoor sowing March to June and August to October, in a prepared seed bed in flowering position. Sow thinly in rows 20cm apart. Cover with 0.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 14-28 days. Make 2-3 sowings for a longer flowering season. When large enough thin to 15cm apart. Keep moist and weed free. Protect late sowings with cloches in cold weather. Flowers June to October. Late sowings flower the following year.
