Grow your own spring onions with Johnsons seeds. They are quick growing and slow to form bulbs. The mild flavour makes this a great addition to salads and stir-fries. Outdoor sowing March to July, in a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 15cm apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 14-21 days. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks. No thinning is needed if sown thinly. Keep moist and weed free. Harvest May to October.
