As a versatile dual-purpose bean, the appealing pods can be eaten whole when young or shelled for the beans inside when mature. Plants grow best in a sheltered, sunny position. Sow indoors from April to May or sow outdoors from May to July, ready to harvest from June to October. Average pack contains 50 seeds. Warning: Seeds should not be eaten.
