The Johnsons Grass Carex Comans Bronze Seeds grow into a useful and versatile specimen grass. Its dense tussocks of bronze-brown, hair-like leaves makes it great for growing in containers and dot planting in mixed borders. This hardy perennial grows easily in well drained fertile soil. Indoor sowing: February to May, in trays of seed compost. Sow thinly, do not cover seed with compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 20-25˚C. Seedlings appear 21-42 days. Remove cover when seedings appear. When large enough transplant singly to 7.5cm pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions. Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position from summer onwards. Foliage all year round. TIP: Do not allow to dry out and provide protection from excessive cold and winter wet.
