Give your garden a touch of vibrant colour with our Candytuft Purple Rain seeds. This charming cottage garden annual is easy to grow making it ideal for containers and mixed borders. Outdoor sowing: Sow thinly in a prepared seed bed in flowering position in rows 20cm (8in) apart and cover with 0.5cm (quarter inch) of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Make 2-3 sowings for successive flowering. Growing on, when large enough thin to 15cm (6in) apart. Keep moist and weed free. Protect late sowings with cloches in cold weather. Late sowings will flower the following year. TIP: Plant some in pots for late summer colour where required
