Grow healthy plants from seed with our pack of five seed tray inserts, perfect for all types of seeds. The tray has 20 well-drained cells for even growth. The trays are made from recycled plastic material. Fill insert cells with good quality seed and cutting compost leaving 0.5cm from the rim. Water thoroughly with a fine spray. For sowing seeds, place the required number of seeds in the centre of each cell, then cover with a fine layer of compost. Gently water with a fine spray. Place in a bright position, not in direct sunlight. Keep compost moist at all times. Do not allow the compost to dry out completely. When seedlings have three or more leaves, remove the rootball by pushing gently upwards from underneath the cell and carefully lifting out. Put into an intermediate-sized container to grow on. For pricking out, make a hole in the centre of each cell. Tease ready seedlings out gently with a dibber. Place roots into hole and firm gently inside. Water thoroughly with a medium spray. Allow seedlings to grow to the six or seven leaf stage before potting into final containers or beds. For cuttings, make a hole in the centre of each cell. Insert cutting into hole and firm gently. Water thoroughly with a medium spray. Place in a bright position and keep the compost moist. Allow cutting to establish and when well-rooted pot into final containers.
