It is an organically grown seed for early maturing, traditional, non-hybrid fruits, with a small seed cavity ensuring plenty of great tasting flesh. Indoor sowing: March to May, in pots of seed compost. Sow singly into a pot edgeways into the compost. Cover with 1.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 7-14 days. At 5-6 leaf stage, stand outside for a few days in late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 60cm apart in growing position. Harvest: July to October. Pick regularly. Outdoor sowing: May, in a well-prepared seedbed in a growing position. Sow 2 seeds per position, 60cm apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
