Grow your produce at home with our pepper seeds. This reliable, sweet pointed pepper, turns red from cream yellow. It can be grown in an unheated greenhouse or outdoors in a warm sheltered spot. Indoor sowing: Sow thinly in pots or trays of seed compost and cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid and keep at approx 15-18˚C (60-65˚F). Seedlings usually appear in 7-21 days. Growing on: Remove cover when seedlings appear. When 5cm (2in) tall transplant into 10cm (4in) pots of compost with as little root disturbance as possible. Keep at approx. 15˚C (60˚F). For greenhouse crops: Transplant to growing bags or large pots in the greenhouse from May to June. For outdoor crops: Stand outside for a few days in late May (avoid frosts). Transplant to a sunny sheltered spot outside. Keep moist and weed-free. Harvest July to October. Outdoor crops will produce a later, smaller crop.
