A traditionally crafted rice bowl, given a bold, modern appearance. Combining contemporary, rustic trends with classic Japanese design and technique, this black ceramic bowl has a sleek, metallic appearance, stylised by its sweeping paintbrush swirl. Known as Ibushi Tenmoku, the speckled, semi-matte texture of this bowl is produced with a dark glaze thickly run over its curved surface, that is brushed away with a single stroke of oxidised brown paint, to leave a distinctive swirl pattern. Simple yet striking, this small bowl is capable of serving both rice and noodle dishes with incredible, modern style.Measures approx. 14cm in diameter, 7cm in height. Made in Japan.
