The Cut by RICHARD MANNAH: The look is based around the ‘cool kids\' on the Brooklyn and downtown New York scene. Who are very open and experimental with colouring and cutting their hair. Hair is coloured in different disconnected sections. e.g the fringe is one colour, the right side is another and the left a completely new colour but it all works. The same with cuts. A lot of disconnected fringes and sections, shorter in some areas and longer in others. The Pearl reflects all of those elements. It has a strong angled disconnected silver/grey fringe with contrasting pearl blonde lengths and layers throughout the rest of the shape. The twist dry technique creates a fresh and undone editorial wave/movement for more contrast against the smooth fringe.
