The Varilight dimmer uses what\'s called a trailing edge dimmer (reverse phase) which is far more advanced than the old leading-edge dimmers (TRIAC). In basic terms trailing edge dimmers allow smoother and silent dimming. Buzzing is eliminated essentially, which can be an annoying feature on older trailing edge dimmer switches. The Varilight V-Pro comes with a 10-year warranty on components and faulty materials. This is subject to correct installation and related products.
