The IP66 range is intended for use in an outdoor environment, or one in which the protection provided by the IP66 range is required, such as lighting or water features where wiring accessories may be exposed to the potentially harmful effects of dust or water. With it\'s unique dual action hinge, the lid of the box can be opened a full 180 degrees for ease of switch operation. The factory fitted soft gel seal fits snugly around the flex outlet to maintain the IP66 rating in use with the lid fully closed - ensuring total protection from dust and protection against powerful water jets, conforming to BS EN 60629:1992.The Hager Sollysta IP66 range also features secure and easy to remove knockouts for cable entries. The 13A switched connection unit features 4x20mm,1x20mm & 1x25mm cable entry knockouts. The 20mm cable entry knockouts are secure and easily removed by pushing out from the inside of the back box. If 25mm conduit is needed, then a clearly marked drill out position allows safe and precise use of a 25m drill bit.Another clever feature of the Hager Sollysta range is a fixing point for padlock, allowing a padlock of up to 5mm diameter shank to be fitted to the enclosure to prevent unauthorised use.IP66 for outdoor use.
